$10,000 GRAND PRIZE

GREAT MEALS START WITH FRESH, LOCAL INGREDIENTS

Congratulations to Rebecca Spence of Vancouver, Washington, winner of the Second Annual Foster Farms Fresh Chicken Cooking Contest! The final event was held at The Culinary Institute of America at Greystone, in California’s Napa Valley on September 30, 2011. Rebecca’s Crispy Orange Chicken with Fennel, Avocado and Orange Salad recipe beat out nearly 2,000 recipes to win the $10,000 grand prize and a one-year supply of Foster Farms fresh chicken. In the spirit of the contest’s focus on fresh, local ingredients, her recipe featured locally grown ingredients including navel oranges, fennel, avocado and Foster Farms fresh chicken. At Foster Farms, we believe the best meals come from great recipes prepared with high-quality, local ingredients. Locally grown in California, Oregon and Washington, Foster Farms fresh chicken is delivered to your grocery store within 48 hours.

Each year home, amateur and professional chefs from California, Oregon and Washington are encouraged to submit their original chicken recipes featuring Foster Farms fresh chicken. Fifteen semifinalists compete for the chance to win $10,000 and a one-year supply of Foster Farms fresh chicken. Visit the Contest Recipe Box for all semifinalists’ recipes from 2011 and 2010 and check back for details on upcoming contests.
